This accessory package is suitable to extend or supplement an existing CURV 500®. The satellites, measuring 12 x 12 cm, are made of black cast aluminium and produce excellent sound. This is achieved by their single 4-inch midrange driver and three 1-inch high frequency drivers. Thanks to WaveAhead® technology developed by LD Systems, the tweeters are positioned vertically in front of the high-quality full-range speaker, achieving the perfect sound mix and dispersion. The 110-degree horizontal dispersion angle is very wide and is vertically limited to 10 degrees by satellite - reducing reflections on ceilings and floors. A passive crossover at 2500 Hz ensures optimal distribution of the frequency spectrum. With the patented SmartLink® plug-in mechanism, the system, consisting of up to four array satellites, can be installed without cables in seconds. Rugged metal grilles with acoustic material for back tensioning protect the drivers of the robust satellites with an impedance of 16 ohms and a weight of 1.73 kg. The matte black powder-coated surface is resilient and gives the satellite an elegant appearance. For fixed installations there is an M3 bolt connection for the safety rope.
