Central to each deck of the DDJ-REV7 is the new 7-inch motorized jog wheel with the same rotational stability as a 12-inch turntable. The jogwheel is built to feel like you're playing real records. The acrylic cover plate is finished with a vinyl-like texture to give your finger an optimal grip. You can also choose between low and high torque settings. The two included slipsheets in each deck - which fit neatly into the jog wheel - also allow you to adjust the friction to your preference. Switch from 33⅓ to 45 rpm and back at any time, and use the Stop Time setting to adjust how long it takes for the music to stop when you press the pause button. Does it have to be right away, or would you prefer your song to slow down first and then stop? It's entirely up to you, just like an analog turntable. 

In the center of each jog wheel, a 3.5-inch LCD screen shows you all the important information so you don't have to keep looking back and forth between your decks and your laptop. Thanks to an omnidirectional viewing angle, you see everything clearly no matter where you stand. You can also turn off the digital marker that displays the playback position at any time. If you want, you can also use the included stickers to mark each jog wheel if you find that easier than the digital marker. 

The DDJ-REV7 features 4 original scratch samples that you can activate with the corresponding hardware buttons. Since those sounds are built in, you can fire them at any time - even when the controller is not connected to your laptop. If you want to use your own samples in your set, the Scratch Bank function allows you to quickly load scratch samples from four scratch banks assigned in Serato DJ Pro.
