Whether you're throwing in acapellas or loving a double drop, four decks makes it possible.
From mixing drum parts to polyrhythmic excursions, layering drums is a sure-fire way to energise your sets, build soundscapes and take the audience on a real trip. Know a track that will set the roof on fire? Put it on your fourth deck, tease a short loop, and drop it when it's time to shake things up, or when you need some serious punch to bring an audience back to the dance floor. Blend percussion, acapellas and soundscapes on the first three channels, with extra room for triggering samples and extra loops on the fourth - great for complex layering, or just launching that one-shot with your DJ name. From hard chops to soulful vocal mixes ripped from a record shop, throw an acapella into the melting pot at peak times for sing-along re-edits the world will only hear once.
At the heart of the TRAKTOR KONTROL S3 is the four-channel mixer, with full-length faders, EQ, cueing, and Mixer FX control over each deck. Juggle hot cues, samples and loops with eight RGB pads on each deck. When it's time to move on, switch decks and stay on track with the light rings on the jog wheel. When it's time to mix, there's plenty of jogwheel to play with. Touch-sensitive and super smooth, they're not just for nudging and stalling, but feel great for scratch workouts too. RGB light rings let you know at a glance which deck is playing and warn you when you're almost through your track.
You can play samples, loop drum patterns, add vocal cuts or even throw your own productions into the mix if that's your thing. Loop any part of a track and assign it to a pad, or jump to any part of your track with Hotcues. TRAKTOR PRO's beatsync means you'll never lose the groove.
Mixer FX are effects on each channel, allowing you to build energy, shape your sound or just go wild at the touch of a button. Choose from eight effects and three filters, and assign them to dedicated slots on the mixer for quick access.
TRAKTOR KONTROL S3 comes bundled with the full version of TRAKTOR PRO 3 - packed with expressive features and editing tools for truly unique, performative mixing.
Grab a portable speaker, plug in an iPad, and take your S3 on the road with TRAKTOR DJ 2 - mix with two channels on a streamlined interface, and dig through a bottomless record chest with SoundCloud Go+ integration.
Set up and run with punchy, pro-grade XLR and RCA main outputs with huge dynamic range, as well as a ¼" TRS boot output, and 3.5 / 6.3 mm headphone outputs. For connecting a vocalist or MC, there's a dedicated combo XLR input on board, as well as an additional RCA input for mixing with external audio.
